Celebrating Resilience: The 17th Edition of Dr Batra’s® Positive Health Awards
The 17th edition of Dr Batra’s® Positive Health Awards, proudly supported by Bajaj Auto Limited, recently took place in a grand ceremony at the iconic Tata Theatre, NCPA Mumbai. This event has become a beacon of hope and recognition, celebrating individuals who have defied illness, disability, and adversity to make a significant impact on society.

The evening was a star-studded event featuring actor Manisha Koirala—herself a cancer survivor—who presented the winners with trophies and cash awards of Rupees One Lac each. The event, hosted by Dr Akshay Batra, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Dr Batra’s® Healthcare, along with popular actress Mandira Bedi, captivated an audience of over 1,000 attendees from diverse fields and regions.
Honoring Extraordinary Achievements
Among this year’s distinguished awardees were five remarkable individuals who have shown incredible courage and determination:
- Tinkesh Kaushik, a triple amputee who trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp.
- Amala Pankaj, a spinal injury survivor who has become a notable social media influencer.
- Rajinder Kumar, a Para-Olympic gold medallist.
- S. Raman, who battles muscular dystrophy and serves as Secretary of Amar Seva Sangham.
- The People’s Choice award winner, Krishna Kumar Samania, also a Para-Olympic gold medallist.

Notably, Dr. Bu Abdullah, Chairman of the Bu Abdullah Group, traveled from Dubai especially for the occasion. He expressed his admiration for the event and invited Dr Batra to host the Positive Health Awards in Dubai next year, indicating the growing global reach of this commendable initiative.
