DVLF’s TOY Celebration to Grant Funds to 14 LGBTQ+ Organizations

Get Ready for the Annual DVLF TOY Holiday Party!

Mark your calendars for December 3! The Delaware Valley Legacy Fund (DVLF) is rolling out the festive red carpet for its much-anticipated annual TOY holiday party and fundraising event. This year, attendees can look forward to an evening filled with entertainment, dancing, and abundant holiday cheer!

A Collaborative Spirit

The DVLF TOY event is thrilled to partner with Our Night Out this year—a monthly social and networking event that aims to uplift LGBTQ+ charities in the Greater Philadelphia Area. This partnership promises not only to enhance the festive spirit but also to increase outreach and visibility for important causes.

Karl Michelfelder, the Board Vice President and President-Elect of DVLF, shared his enthusiasm about this year’s event, stating, “We are excited about TOY this year because we are taking lessons from previous events and making it more accessible to a wider audience.” Notably, the event will see reduced costs and a more inclusive atmosphere, welcoming a diverse range of attendees.

Embracing Inclusivity

The decision to shift the event to a weeknight allows for greater accessibility, making it easier for busy individuals to drop by after work without sacrificing weekend family time amidst the holiday hustle. “We are looking forward to a festive atmosphere as always,” Michelfelder added, pointing out that guests love donning their most joyful holiday outfits for this special occasion.

This year promises a less formal setup with no assigned tables—just a vibrant setting filled with amazing food, drinks, great company, and a fantastic DJ who will keep everyone dancing. Plus, a special appearance by Mrs. Claus (played by Philadelphia drag queen Brittany Lynn) is sure to add an extra touch of delight to the festivities!

Event Highlights

Ticket holders can expect a delightful evening, complete with heavy appetizers, two drink tickets, and a cash bar. The dance floor will be alive with music spun by DJ Firestone, and a photobooth for capturing memories will be available. One of the most honored traditions of the night will be the presentation of DVLF’s emerging needs grants, acknowledging the vital work of community partners.
